On the first Friday of every month, The Uptown presents a FREE live music showcase that celebrates Bay Area artist and musicians. This 10-year-old event highlights bands who we believe deserve your attention.
April’s free first Friday showcase features Oakland doo-wop jangly garage pop trio Night School, Oakland ethereal post-punk band Silence In The Snow, San Francisco dark indiepop duo New Spell, and Oakland experimental dream-noise outfit The Acharis! + DJ Matokie (KALX) between sets.
