The event features three bands:
Miss B Haven formed at the Havens’ Poker Night, when some frustrated musicians realized they were better off playing dusty instruments than playing cards. Miss B Haven aims to bring back the deep bluesy rock songs about finding love, losing it and the longing to get it back. Throwing in some horns and funk influences, the band plays some classics but also puts their punchy touches on some upbeat tunes that will keep people singing along and moving their feet. The band features Jared Stivers and Alexis Papahadjopoulos on guitar, Jeff Hiller on bass, Ross Blaufarb on drums, Barry Barnes and Boyd Nielsen on horns, Josh Sadikman on keys and Claire Karoly on vocals.
Bajadres is an eclectic mix of Beach musicians, smooth rockers, folk rockers, heavy metal rockers, Rhythm & Blues, and Funk players. The All-star line up includes: Aaron Fisher and Patrick Collins on Guitars, Hugh Louch on bass, Tod Pucket on keys & guitars, Brian Weiss on saxes and Tim Wright on drums. These Beach dads have either been in bands, currently are in bands, have played in the famous Beach Revue band, or have played drums for Primus. They’re coming together, fusing their musical talents for one night of dynamic 70’s/80’s and modern sound. “When we do the Beach Battle of the Bands in the spring, we all bring different bands and compete with each other, when we play together for Beach Revue we have to sit way back in the mix, so this is our chance to bring these great players together front and center…at full volume.”
The Wild Woodsmen initially became acquainted by jamming around campfires for Wildwood Elementary School camping trips. Soon more organized (and electric) performances started. The current incarnation of the Wild Woodsmen originally came together to provide some live entertainment for the 2014 Wildwood Dads Club’s annual Crab Feed benefit. It wasn’t long before the ad-hoc gathering of musicians became a true band, they now play regular gigs along with each of their own projects. The Woodsmen feature Hal Marcus and Jim Fleser on guitar and vocals, Jeff Hiller on bass, David Hicks on guitar, bass and drums, Adam Christensen on drums, and Rob Gotto on lead vocals.
