Cat People ~ this classic 1942 horror film produced directed by Jacques Tourneur was based on Val Lewton’s short story The Bagheeta, published in 1930. Cat People tells the story of a young Serbian woman, Irena, who believes herself to be a descendant of a race of people who turn into cats when sexually aroused or deeply angered. It also features cats.

Music ~The performing band is a surprise! All you need to know is that they are a great bluesy group with growl and a fiddle based out of San Francisco, CA. “Long, wild years on the road, mixed with a deep base in roots and funk – blending Tom Waits with Tom Petty and the JBs – shaped them into a modern explosion of new sound. They have played across America, India, Ukraine, France, Singapore and Vietnam”.
