Free First Friday Showcase. For 11 years The Uptown has put together a free showcase of mostly local bands and artists every first Friday of the month. This month we have Oakland R&B surf stomp band The Atomic Age, all female punk outfit Viqueen from San Francisco, Bay Area reverb beachy jangle band Silent Pictures, and violin-fronted hard rock trio KnightressM1 from Oakland. Doors 5pm, Show 9pm.
